Since I sold my orange Jeep two weeks ago, I was able to get started on my new Tube Buggy. It will have a CJ hood and grill, Dana 60 front/14 bolt rear with as of now 4.56 gears (subject to change). Vortec 4.3 with a TH-350 trans., and either a 205 or 231/300 doubler. Either 39's or 42" Iroks and 16 or 18" air shocks. 4 Link suspension of course. Alot of other stuff I'll mention as I get there. Here is what I have done right know.

Haven't updated in a while soo I figured I would throw some pics up. I have gotten a lot done. Suspension is done complete with 18" SAW air shocks and I've got the motor, trans and doubler transfercase installed. There is actually more done than the pics show. More pics to come soon.....

Out of curiosity, what would you charge to build a chassis like that for one of us?

Labor wise, probably $1500-$2000 depending on how far you want the chassis done. Obviously the price would go up from there if we did the supension or any other parts on the chassis.

More progress this week. Got most of the floor pans and fender tops cut out and welded in. The trans tunnel and section behind it are removable for trans/transfercase access. The rear section between the rolled panels is where the third seat will go when I get around to buying it.

Well I haven't posted any progree on here in a while so I figured I would give an update. I got it all together and then tore it back down for paint and final assembly. Here are a few pics of it just before finish welding and the paint started flying. It is painted now and hopefully I can sprayline the floor pans this weekend and start assembly next week.

I finally DROVE it out of the garage today. Still need to do some adjusting on the brakes, build driveshafts and a few other little things. i also still need to get the shocks charged. It will sit about 7" taller than in the pics once this is done. The Hood and skins will be installed this week. More pics to come.

Pretty much finished with the buggy. Have a few things to finish up on this week. I got the shocks charged up last week by a friend of mine. Here are some pics of it with the body panels installed. It has a 121-122" wheel base and 23" of belly clearance at ride height. I LIKE IT!!!
