So I drove the Jeep on sat and it ran and shifted fine. down the block and back etc. parked it. moved it to the side yard last night ... no issues.

today go to test drive it and it goes into gear a little hard but ok. then as i round the corner of the house it just redlines for a second and stops moving.

I tried reverse 1 2 3 nothing. check the fluid and it was ok for level may be down like 1/2 on the full line so 1/2qrt low? no biggie Jeep should still move. I filled it with more fluid and still does not move. pushed it back about 3 ft and it then went into reverse. put it back undercover and it wont go reverse or forward now.

linkage is all there and moving fine. seems internal? I hope i dont have a bad trans.

if i do its time to swap in a std... i am sick of autos...

History I pulled the trans to relocate the breather, put on RC 4" lift. truck drove fine.

Thoughts?

If you change out your tranny I would be interested in the auto. Usually if you are in gear and moving when the tanny lets go then the clutches have to be replaced. Sound to me like the pressure regulator is stuck and let the clutches slip. When they slip the tranny is done till a rebuild. I still like the autos so if you want to get rid of it let me know.

Is it a 999 or 727? Or what?
