Mike this is a rough measurment. Approximatly 32.25" from the front of the crank pully to the bell housing.

man, that is exactly what I needed to know...I am trying to get the total length of the stock engine, trans, and tcase....

Believe it or not, that engine is longer than the 6.0 I just bought...Overall length of the stock config is going to be 76.75"(6.40').
The overall length of the config of my 6.0, 4l80e, and an atlas is 71.49" (5.96'). If I add a klune, it will be 77.99"(6.50'), plus I am streching the rear...woohooo...that is friggin awesome...

stock drivetrain in my 90 YJ, 4.2L, AX15, NP231J left me a stock driveshaft of 14.5" long!

same jeep with an AMC 360, TF999 auto and Dana 300 is a 34.5" custom driveshaft! 20" longer. that IL6 is LONG.....
